Private investigator Dan Ballantine attends an upscale Reno wedding with his lady friend, Kyra Simmons. They run into Dan’s friend, FBI agent Brad Gunn and his wife, Melanie.

After the ceremony the foursome and other invitees stand on the sidewalk at the bottom of a flight of steps leading to the church door. As the bride and groom appear and start down the steps, Dan watches a white Bentley limousine arrive and park near him. He sees two men emerge from the limo with guns in their hands.

Dan shouts a warning as a gunman murders two bodyguards assigned to protect the bride, Jennifer Lawson. The shooter then grabs Jennifer’s upper arm and pushes her toward the open limo door.

Dan and Brad draw their pistols and shoot the kidnappers. Dan steps into the street and stops the car.

Senator George Lawson wants to thank Dan and hire him as a bodyguard for Jennifer. After an assistant prepares a background check on Dan, the senator hires Dan to investigate four men he bested in business deals before running for public office.

Dan finds himself seeking a powerful man that wants to hurt the senator in the worst way…through his daughter.
